In today’s environment, it is becoming increasingly difficult to secure or maintain employment.

Accent has recently launched Career Connections, A program that provides people with skills, resources, tips and support when looking for a new job, returning to the working world, or even starting a new job in a different industry.

Career Connections has been developed by industry experts whose goal is to provide the skills to anyone who needs help with writing a resume, locating a suitable industry, understanding job applications and even tips for an effective job interview.

The program consists of 6 modules including:

Hidden Job Markets

Researching the Industry

Applying for advertised positions

Resumes and Letters of application

Interview Skills

The modules include activities, tips and resources that provide the participant with the knowledge and skills to succeed in the job seeking market. The program also offers support and tips to overcome any fears or barriers when looking for work.

Participants can complete the entire program with all modules included or pick the modules separately.

Each module is allocated a slot for completion, in which the participant will receive one on one support. For those participants who complete the entire program, they will receive 23 hours of one one one support with one of our coordinators.

Career Connections has been developed to be easy to follow, and can be completed in any environment, including, e learning, remote access, via correspondence, one on one or even a group based setting.

Accent’s Career Connections coordinators will assist all participants when completing the program / modules. Our coordinators will conduct an initial consultation to explain the program, identify barriers, set goals and conduct screening to ensure that the program is suited for the participant.
