FAQs

  • What does the claims audit involve?

An accent specialist will come to your workplace at a time that is convenient for you.
They will require the documentation and correspondence available on each claim being reviewed.
They may also require access to yourself or the Return to Work Coordinator (if a different person).

  • How long will the audit take?

Depending on the number of files being reviewed, the audit may take up to 3 hours. Where you have very complex or difficult claims, this may be extended to 4 hours.

  • What recommendations or directions will I get?

The recommendations will be dependant on the direction of the file. Recommendations can include:

    • Suitable duties possibilities
    • Creating positions
    • More doctors reviews
    • Visiting the doctor

    • Reviews with the insurer

  • Who will follow up the recommendations?

Each recommendation presented will have an action plan. The person or party responsible for actioning the plan may be yourself, your insurer, your provider or where agreed, an Accent consultant can be assigned to manage the file.
