Green Policy

We have a vision that cannot be distinguished from a commitment to minimise our environmental impact on the planet.

Our goal is to reduce our emissions by 35% by 2010.

Our team held a think tank in late 2007. Together we came up with acronym 'IT' which stands for: Initiate Thyself and reflects the philosophy that we are all responsible for the footprint we make.

This great motto was then developed into a 10 step action plan.

1. Cut IT               Reduce use of / turn off lights, computers, air conditioning, equipment

2. Reuse IT          Packaging, paper, parts

3. Recycle IT       Packaging, bottles, paper, plastics

4. E Go IT            Use e-mail, e-files, e-business over paper communication and processes

5. Shrink IT          Minimise Packaging and waste, salvage and repair equipment

6. Buy IT              Support Green Businesses, buy energy effective equipment

7. Virtualise IT     Use online meetings and training, minimise travel, work from home

8. Share IT           Enable Car pooling

9. Reward IT       Allowance incentives that support the use of energy efficient vehicles

10. Save IT          Use of EnergyStar enabled computers, screens and printer
